Our Story

Hi, I'm Nane.

Before Grace Beauty, I ran my own mobile nail business, and that's where I actually learned marketing, not from a course or a manual, but through trial and error.

Social media, community markets, showing up in person and figuring out what worked and what didn't, one booking at a time. Nobody handed me a strategy. I built one because I had to, and I truly believe you learn from doing, from real experience, not from theory.

Over the past 10 years, I've worked across several brands in marketing, and one thing has proven true again and again: the more time, energy and passion you put behind something, the more it flourishes.

This year, I took over the majority of Grace Beauty's marketing across the board: social media, our podcast, the newsletter, the website - the whole ecosystem, working together instead of as separate pieces.

The results have shown in that unity. And as our stockists noticed the shift, the feedback started rolling in, along with a lot of questions about social media support. Support that, when I looked for it, simply didn't exist in a way that was actually built for this industry.

That's when it clicked: we were on to something. Noticed by Grace Beauty came out of that exact gap: nothing out there spoke specifically to beauty businesses, brands, salons, clinics and spas the way this industry actually needed. So we built it.

Part of Grace Beauty

Grace Beauty is a family-run New Zealand distributor, founded by Terri and Jason Grace, supplying professional beauty brands to salons, clinics, spas and pharmacies across the country since 2014.

Which means we’re not marketers who picked beauty as a niche. We’re a beauty business that learned to market.

Everything we teach, we’ve done on our own brands first and you’re welcome to go and check.

What we believe about salon marketing‍ ‍

Discounting is a lever, not a strategy. Every discount trains your clients to wait for the next one.

You’re not competing for attention. You’re competing for trust. Attention is cheap and it doesn’t book appointments.

Most salons don’t have a content problem. They have a broken booking link, an unfinished Google listing, or a client database nobody’s emailed in three years.

Consistent beats brilliant. Four decent posts a week for three months beats one perfect post a month, every time.

Nothing works in a fortnight. Anyone telling you otherwise is selling you something.

‍Who we work with‍ ‍

Beauty salons, skin clinics, day spas, nail salons, brow and lash studios, mobile therapists and beauty brand owners, right across New Zealand.
